How to capture a video of the screen while in use (EDGE 1040)? (Sorry if this was asked before)

There is a hidden option to do screen recording that is currently only in the beta builds.

It will take screenshots and save them at a frequency of 2 Hz as bitmap files. You can then use a tool such as ffmpeg to join them together as video.

There could well be a performance hit in using this feature and it will quickly fill up the file system. You would need to manage that. I would only use it for short periods.

I used it several times when it was available in the 14.xx versions with no issues at all

To access hiden meny in beta. Tap the screen inside the activity, hold down the right arrow next to the home.

slightly off topic, but what's the use case for a screenshot from the device? i was going to enable it but can't envision a scenario where i'd use it

You may want to capture a key moment of data for posting or to capture an issue to report it.
