Today, I pulled out my Pinarello that I hadn't ridden since February 2 (and it had been quite a while before that since the bike was ridden). The Vector 3 pedals weren't found by the Edge 1040. So I went inside and grabbed two new batteries (the double height kind), and swapped batteries in the pedals. I couldn't connect, so I removed the pedals from my set of sensors, and tried to add a sensor. I couldn't get the Edge 1040 to recognize the pedals, so I went on a did my ride.
When I got home, I tried again, without success. Then, I pulled my Edge 1030 Plus out of my back pocket, and saw an error message that the right power pedal was missing. I opened the battery door on the right pedal, removed the door with the battery, and then replaced it. The pedals still wouldn't sync with the Edge 1040, but the Edge 1030 Plus was happy with them.
When I got inside, I found that power had been recorded on the Edge 1030 Plus, which I didn't even try to sync.
Am I overlooking something on the Edge 1040?
