Thanks for the help. While I dont have the map "Cycle map North America is 2022.20” you mention, I do have "Garmin DEM Map North America 2022.20” and “Garmin Cycle Map NA, US 2022.20”. Map is looking better. Question: how do I remove unneeded maps? Cant do it in the unit, perhaps a folder within the Garmin folder?
You will not want to remove either of those maps. Sorry if the way I wrote that was confusing, I meant that your North America (NA) map should be version 2022.20, which it sounds like yours is. The DEM map is a Digital Elevation Map so you will want that as well. The 1040 has enough space on it to hold several maps so you should not have to remove any.
