Second RTL515 does not connect to Light network

The 1040 is not seeing my second RTL515 as a light, while it does see it as a radar.

This is important to me as i need to switch the light off to save batteries when riding in certain European countries where flashing light is prohibited by law.

If any on now ho to add it to the light network that would be great. manual entry of 6 digits is not possible (another issue i reported in a separate thread)

  • Ok after many attempts I have manage to get 2 RTL515 devices to connect to the 1040 as both radar and connected to the light network.T
    The trick seems to relate to an issue we had  a year ago when the 1040 first came out.

    Work Around;

    1. Remove all sensors
    2. Reset the tie RTL515s. (hold button of 8 seconds)
    3. Switch on 1040
    4. Select sensors -> add sensor-> all sensors
    5. Switch on first RTL515 and hold button 2 seconds  for purple flashing light (bluetooth pairing)
    6. Wait of paring
    7. Wait for light network to form.
    8. once fully connected switch off RTL515

    Now repeat steps 5 - 8 using second RTL515

    Now add back all other sensors.

    best of luck
