Incorrect heart rate readings on my Garmin 1040 computer
Well given that the 1040 doesn’t contain a HR monitor and you have given no other details or explanation, not sure what you are looking for here…
My Garmin 1040 updated to 16.11 yesterday. This morning, I checked the sensors and my HR sensor was connected but the number wasn't accurate. The fix was to remove the WatchLink app from my iPhone…
I have 2 HR monitors a Wahoo TickR and a Polar H7 both provide accurate readings on my old Wahoo Elemnt and when connected to Strava. I installed new batteries in both devices. Both seemed to work fine with the 1040 when I purchased it in December. The last 4-5 times I’ve used it the HR reading is 122 bpm as soon as I turn it on. It never drops below 122 and never goes above 138. My maximum is 164 and resting is 65

My Garmin 1040 updated to 16.11 yesterday. This morning, I checked the sensors and my HR sensor was connected but the number wasn't accurate. The fix was to remove the WatchLink app from my iPhone, power cycle both my phone and Apple Watch, download and setup the WatchLink app. I use my Apple Watch, the WatchLink app and it's pod. The system works as my watch is connected to the pod by bluetooth and then the pod is connected to my Garmin via ANT+. It's nice to have ditched my strap.
