1040 v16.11 has bricked all my sensors

Last night post ride i was prompted to update my 1040 Solar to v16.11. Post update and my morning commute could not find my garmin speed/cadence or MK2i heart rate.
i deleted both and the 1040 could not see them to re-add.
i full shut down the device and restarted it and i still cant connect to HR or cadence/speed.
jumping on my trainer right now and the 1040 cant see the Wahoo Kickr or Garmin pro HR strap.
at this point I'm convinced that this update has bricked the ant/ble capabilities of my 1040.
anyone else having this issue?

The beta meant to address this has started rolling out and is currently at 20%. Information can be found here.

For users who do not wish to participate in the beta program, this will be moved to production…

This is related to the Edge going into suspend/sleep mode and we are working on a resolution for this issue. We hope to have a beta available soon to resolve this problem.

This is waste of customers time. Mine has gone into restart mode after firmware 16.11.

I mean, how hard can it be to test it before releasing!

I had not the same, but a different major issue with this software version. This morning, preparing for a ride, I was also notified about the update (of which I hoped it would fix the North/ course up issue so I installed it immediately). After installing the 1040 stalled, and keeps rebooting, even after I have turned off the power. Although I like the functionality of the 1040 a lot, I am getting sick of all the software issues I experienced. I am happy to not have solids my 530 so I have a backup, but I will return the 1040 to Garmin.

HR, Romote Control, Radar, Light, speed and telephone connected with 16.11, no problem in my case

Update; I applied a hard reset and connected it to Garmin Express. I had to fully re-install the Edge but that’s fairly simple because all sensors and profiles are put back. Problem solved, still annoyed that such a thing happens after a simple software update.

I don't understand why Garmin released 16.11 firmware! Betas on 16.XX were full of bugs, reported in the beta forum, and most of them were not even fixed!

no problems here, did it just before an indoor ride. all sensors connected immediately.

As a workaround, you can go to the sensors menu and touch the sensor. This should prompt the connection between the Edge 1040 and the sensor.

Thanks Matthew, and do you know how the Edge could have crashed after the update (and how it can be prevented in the next update)?

HR sensor cannot connect after 1040 has been paused (auto or manually). And when it connects, it takes 7-10min of riding to show correct value of heart rate
