lock buttons?

I know I can lock the touchscreen. If I understand correctly it's currently not possible to lock the start/stop and lap buttons. I'd find that useful; during a MTB ride I managed to accidentally press the lap button twice while leaning on the handle bar.

I've found garmin edge explorer can lock the screen and buttons, however, Garmin Edge 1040 cannot lock buttons.
