While mountain biking I carry my inReach Mini at the top of my backpack where it's got the best satellite reception. Yes I know it's a well-known issue that the ANT+ signal is weak. However it's super distracting having to dismiss "inReach found" messages every few minutes.
As a feature request, it'd be great if those messages could be turned off; my solution for now is just to disable the sensor overall.
I'd also be curious for what utility people here get from pairing an inReach at all — pairing with a watch I can see because after an accident I may be able to reach my watch but not the inReach device itself but for a bike computer that seems a bit more tenuous. And the 1040's crash detection feature doesn't use the inReach to call for help, does it?
