Hi guys.
I was wondering if the preloaded European cycling map is the same as the one offered in the garmin store (OSM Europe cycle map) for around 30 euros or they're different.
If they're different....what is the difference ?
Thanks
Alberto

I would also like to know this.
Has anyone bought the street map?
The 1040 series, or other new models with mapping will be pre-loaded with cycle maps: What Preloaded Maps Come Installed on an Edge Device?
For example if looking at the EU cycle map on garmin.com, (https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/pn/010-D1554-01) it will be the same quality EU cycle map that is installed on the device.
We sell the maps online if your device does not come with that map pre-loaded, for example someone in the US with an edge 530 or 830 who is going on a trip to Europe.
If you need a map for a trip, there are numerous ways to get free maps. These have the same OSM data (they just look different) as the Garmin maps. (Garmin uses its own POI data.)
These can often be custom regions to cover just the area you need rather than a whole continent.
I believe the maps you purchase from Garmin don’t get updated (requiring you to purchase the map again to get an update).
Garmin support confirmed that it's exactly the same map.
