Functionality Change Request: Associate Bike Type to an Activity Profile

Im sure this is a common problem to many riders - too many bikes.

Can the OS be changes so 1 bike can be associated to 1 Activity profile ?

e.g. Road Bike 1 - Bike #1 would be automatically associated with al the sensors belonging to this bike 

When the rider uses a different bike all it's needed is to select a 2nd profile with a different associated bike and sensors e.g. MTB Profile - the MTB bike and it sensors would be brought up.

Saves time with adding the correct bike in post, and also, save battery by not having Edge 1040 looking for severals sensors several times.

Is this feasible?

    We’ve all been asking for this for years. No idea why Garmin hasn’t done it yet. It makes gear tracking in Garmin Connect utterly useless if I have to change my bike after the activity. There’s an ActivityFix app that can automate changing the gear for your Strava uploads based on custom rules (like which sensors were connected). So obviously the work is doable, just hadn’t been done by Garmin.
