Activity not updating to Garmin Connect

First ride yesterday since updating to 15.24 and the ride did not update to Connect.

Checked that the Edge 1040 was connected to WiFi and also to my Android phone via Bluetooth and all was good.
I had to connect the 1040 to my PC to update Garmin Express to manually upload the activity. Reminds me of the old days when I was using an old 500.

Anyone else having this problem?

    I'm having the same problem with my 1040 solar. Most rides don't symc automatically.  I would expect them to sink via Bluetooth for my phone as soon as I stop the ride and hit save.  But most of the time even when paired to Wi-Fi I can check the connected features and see "transfer in progress" hours after a ride and no sync.  Sometimes shutting down and restarting forgetting my Wi-Fi and re-pairing it works and sometimes not.  Unbelievable that a $700 bike computer has such crappy connectivity.

    With latest update my 1040 has gotten better. Alot of times (since I take my phone with BT & internet on) (and it uploads thru the internet) it uploads so quick that its done before I have the bike the garage. Thats like less then a minute.  Most of the time I have to put in sleep mode until I get in the house so it doesn't upload and send it to Strava because I want to edit my ride (give it title, ride description blah blah blah).  Then when im ready turn the 1040 back on and let it upload. THAT'S WHEN I GET MY CONNECTION PROBLEMS. It still uploads most of the time. Let's say 90% of the time for me but every once and a while it hangs  And hangs and hangs until I do one of three things.  One is to hit the sync button (even though it's blue and supposedly uploading). Two, I turn off the 1040 and restart it. That generally always works. And finally after I'm good and pissed off that it's not uploading I get the usb cable out and copy the .fit file from the 1040 to Strava.  Then magically it appears in that Garmin app.  Why!?  I don't know but that always works but a freakin 1/2 hour has gone by and I need a beer Beers.
