1040 sends you the wrong way on roundabouts in the UK

This is IMO quite a dangerous bug. The icon for the directions at a roundabout tries to send you the wrong way, its a mirror image of what it should be. Because this icon appears before the roundabout is on the map, the chances are you would take up the wrong position in the road, and need to correct at the last minute, meaning changing lanes. I posted this in the beta forum a few months ago but its still an issue.

  • I've noticed this behaviour on the edge 1000 and 1030+ devices during navigation.  It's been highlighted on other sections of this forum but the behaviour still exists.

  • Ironically, there is a circle not far from me here in Germany that my Edge always tries to guide me left around.

  • As mentioned elsewhere, I have the exact same problem. As you say this could be very dangerous.

I'm assuming that the icon in the top banner is set for RH drive. I cannot find anywhere to change this. It is either very well hidden or non existent.

    We need a geek.

  • Looping back on this, its fixed in the latest maps.

  • I tried to update these tonight and with EU and NA maps installed, it seems to be almost completely full at close to 29GB and gives an error in GE when almost complete but restarting the Edge itself seemed to complete the update which cane as a surprise

Changing the NA maps to US didn’t save much space. I guess Canada and Alaska don’t have many roads. So I now have 2021 US map (alongside 2023 EU) which doesn’t seem to need an update - is that right?

Will test on the UK’s road tomorrow.
