Recommended max length of a course?

I have an ultra course provided in roughly 80-mile segments but would like to have it loaded with full-day 150-/180-mile segments, which include waypoints, so I can better track my progress and fatigue rate day over day. Does anyone have experience with the 1040 with this length course and would this length work or is it too dicey taking a risk with such a long course? TIA
