Since installing the 15.23 Firmware Release (same issue, worse with 15.24)
my Edge 1040 Solar was rebooting every 20s:
1) When doing nothing after power on
2) When trying to view a recorded route
*** Gar*$%m#*&in...
Irritated... I try another method of Reset : Switch OFF this crazy GPS,
then Power ON it again by pressing several seconds booth the Left Power Button + the STARTt/STOP bottom button.
Once the GPS restarted, I stopped to press both buttons.
A this time the GPS tooks longer time to read maps, Tracks . . . but it restarted fine.
After that, my issue dissapeared (ouf !)
I am really very disappointed with this Edge1040,
it gives me the fealing of total regression
compared to the software stability of my Edge 1030 and Edge 1030+
