Navigation screen rotating when paused

When navigating, whenever I stop my bike, the navigation screen rotates, 180 degrees...I think. The screen with the compass does not seems to work properly....

This is a common problem as far as I can see from this forum or favebook groups. I tested this on MTB and Gravel profile.

Question:

A: Is this hardware, should I get a replacement

B: Did aynone with this problem was able to fix it ?

C: Does a replacement unit fix this ?

Have the same problem, got a replacement and that has more or less the same.

That is too bad…maybe you’re unlucky twice …or Garmin dora not know what is the issue

Is this the ForkSight feature? Try disabling it (activity profile > MTB/CX > ForkSight).

Either that or is a duff compass / calibration.

Check to see if it is the magnetic compass that is causing the map rotation when you stop.

Add the compass page to one of your profiles. Ride in a straight line for a short while. Note the direction of the arrow. Then stop. Does the direction the arrow is pointing in change? If so the magnetic compass is not calibrated correctly.

Forksight is disabled on mine, doesn´t matter - still rotates

Mine does this and I have raised it to Garmin. Got instructions from Garmin to calibrate, but it doesn’t succeed - and the device has an auto-calibrate function, so I guess that will any manual operation anyhow. Waiting for further instructions from Garmin

I calibrated the compass, but still have the problem ..
