Brand new out of the box Edge 1040 Solar will not pair with an iPhone (the device does not show up neither under bluetooth nor will the pairing via the app succeed). When attempting to connect via Garmin Express, the latter will attempt to update the device claiming success. However, after the device is removed from the computer, it will suggest an update from 12.xx to 15.xx. If the update is accepted, the device will reboot after some time spent updating and prompt to update again. Device reset has not been helpful, downgrading to 12.11 has not helped to resolve the issue. Any help would be much appreciated, would hate to send it back.
