Firmware 15.23: Bugs and Problems

I got the "Sync failed" (15.23) but it still downloaded some GPS position files and uploaded a couple of rides so I don't know what "failed"?

I got the same problems with Connect IQ Store (some apps display ok after You go to detail and than go back). And i noticed that probably workouts plans are affected by this too (blank screen in details for particular workout).

Pity that there is no options for data fields in 1040, however i dont know if this is problem w. current fw version - i own this model since 1 month.

No problem with wifi here - check if Your router/AP use correct channel for region (or try with  1-11CH for 2.4ghz).

Still not fixed issue with disappearing IQ data fields.

How can I downgrade to an older version from 1040 v15:23, an older 14.xx (don't know which) seemed better
With v15:23 I have the following problems: 

• WiFi sync fails always and Komoot IQ tracks can be loaded via iPhone Bluetooth only 
• When offtrack the map screen turns white without updating fields for 20 seconds or shows on a part of the map! -> increase the 1040 processor speed temporary to make the calculations and map loading faster. 
• When going off track, the track arrows disappear and only come back when on the track again. -> Keep old track arrows always visible
• When the screen is dimmed during an auto pause the big || pause sign hides most of the screen. It disappear 5 seconds if you touch it but that is too short -> better show once.
• When  the screen is dimmed and you touch the screen you may activate a function unintentionally because the buttons are hardly visible, -> the first screen button after dimm must be ignored until the screen is bright again (like the iPhone does).
• and much more... although I am using only 10% of all function

I got an endless boot loop after updating my maps via Garmin Express (with firmware version 15.23). It required a full reset of the device to get that fixed. Now the route calculation for more than 600 km works without bigger problems (only at the end the screen was frozen for a few seconds) but the WiFi connection is still lost.

My personal feeling is that this update may require a full reset of the device to work properly (apart from the WiFi issue). It seems that at least my device wasn't happy with this incremental firmware updating only...

FW 15.24 is out with "Fixed incorrect failure message sometimes being shown for sensor software update" but does that mean the Wi-Fi "Sync Fail" message or something else.??

I am still getting the "Sync Fail" message but all up & downloads seem to work OK including the FW 15.24 update (not applied yet, tomorrow and will see if still getting Wi-Fi Sync fail.

Wifi Sync fails for me as well.  It used to work.  Now it doesn't.  I even manually deleted all of my activities on the device to try to make Auto-Upload work, but that didn't solve the problem.  Every other device I own including my Fenix 6 works with my TP-Link router.

Same for me.
