VAM - molto variabile e imprecisa

Although I am speaking about 530, not 1040, but today I wanted to use VAM30sec, but it was zero, when climbing for minutes and minutes.

I checked all the related metrics, and all including Lap VAM, Avg VAM, grade was OK, except for VAM (instantaneous) and VAM30 sec.

VAM was always in the negative, between minus 1500 m/h and minus 700 m/h even when I climbed at a grade of 5-8%. 

As I wrote VAM30sec was typically zero, but sometimes it showed something between +250 m/h and +400 m/h. But only for a couple of seconds.

I guess there may be some bug behind  and maybe I could experience a huge fake offset.

I would exclude any hardware bug, otherwise grade and Lap VAM could have been correct.

Unfortunately I had not used VAM30 sec and VAM earlier, so I have no clue when the coding of these two datafields went wrong.

I did not have enough time to go for test rides, but I dont exclude the possibility that these two datafields work incorrectly only if one adds it after starting an activity.

And I have a feeling: anything is behind it affects all the (newer) Edges, not just 530/830.

Today, I repeated the sequence and both VAM30sec and VAM worked normally. I mean VAM30sec was OK, and VAM was wildly fluctuating, but even the latter was on the correct side of zero.

Neanch’io. Non ho nessuna idea perché funzioni una volta e perché non funzioni un‘altra volta.

è come il problema di Navigazione che riscontro e che qualche volta non avviene.....

edge 1040 nuovo utilizzo in Italia stesso problema, Vam instabile nonostante %pendenza costante es 4% varia da 200-650-400-1150-900- sembra impazzito. con il mio vecchio edge 1030 mai avuto problemi

provato a resettare e reimpostare ma continua ad avere VAM insatbile

ho anche provato a modificare la precisione di rilevamento e attivato la calibrazione automatica, ma VAM sempre instabile
