Glitch (minor) when showing map

Hello

On my previous Edge units (1030 and 1030+) when navigating, the panning and the zooming tool icons (circled in attached picture) disapeared after a little while when displaying the maps, which was nice to be able to see the map using the complete screen when riding. And the tools came back again just touching the screen when needed.

Is the permanent tools display a glitch or a setup error ?, if setup issue, does anyone know how to make it go back to disappearing mode ?
