Missing upload option

I now have an Edge 1040. I had an Edge 1030. In my Edge 1040 I miss an upload option for a ride to Garmin/Strava when the ride failed in automatically. In Edge 1030 I used the upload in the history > ride > upload. Is there an option in the menu of the Edge 1040? I can not find it. It's not user friendly to have fysically connect by usb to a PC.

Just connect your phone and sync.

In my experience, Upload only appears as an option when there's an active connection that makes it possible, like BT to a phone or WIFI...

Thanks for answering. Tried that but didn't work for that specifc ride that didn't upload. New made testrides immidately upload, so there's a connection

you can always upload the *.fit file to Strava manually

Yes I know that workaround. But therefor I have to make a USB connection isn't it? Or is there another way?

It uploads from the device to GC. It then goes from GC to STRAVA. The key is getting it to upload to GC. Weird that it works for other activities but the option to upload doesn't show up for this one.
