Map update via WiFi

Is it possible to update the maps via WiFi?

    Can this feature request be added to the roadmap? Because right now we are stuck with limited number of options:

    1. I can't easily download an update for official garmin maps and copy files to my 1040 (I have been doing this for years with 3rd party OSM maps.... but what would have been my point for upgrading to 1040 where Garmin claims that maps for all-region are included and I can't update them?), 

    2. I can't update the maps with my Chromebook - because I have to use Windows or MacBook for Garmin Express,

    3. I can't download maps via WiFI like I'm doing on 955 watch.

    So limited feature parity between Garmin top watches and bike computers kills me.... Guys, you are one company, why can't you provide the same feature set on the top watches and top Edge computers? I know... that is very rhetoric kinda of questions...
