RideWithGPS POI's (Points of interest)

Is there is a simple way to view POI's on the Edge 1040 series bicycle computer created with RideWithGPS ? I cycle not just for the sport or daily use, but I also travel with it. For me, Having POI's appear on my route is the second most important aspect of the GPS after showing me the proper route.

In RWGPS, export the file as GPX track. Select "Include POIs as waypoints".

(Take care that the “cues as waypoints” is not selected.)

The POIs will show up in your saved locations.

This also includes the track as a course (which you can delete). If you don’t need “course points”, you can keep the course.
