Live Segment screen no longer visible after updating to 15.13 Beta

After updating to the 15.13 Beta, the Strava Live Segment screen on my Garmin Edge 1040 no longer pops up automatically when riding a segment, nor is it visible by manually swiping to where the screen should be while riding a segment. It has simply vanished. Is anyone else with a 1040 experiencing this issue?

I have not changed any settings on my device, and this feature had been working perfectly until I updated to 15.13. I have gone into the settings and confirmed that the screen is still there and enabled in my ride profile, and I triple-checked that every single setting related to segments is enabled. I even tried toggling all of the segment settings off and back on. Nothing makes the screen start functioning again.

Strava Segments are still syncing correctly to the device and Garmin Connect. I tried starring and unstarring a few segments on Strava, and they correctly synced to both Garmin Connect and my device. I verified that the .fit files are on the device and updated correctly in the segments directory, and they are, so the segments are definitely on the device.

The ONLY way I can get the Live Segment screen to pop up is to go to the Explore Segments widget and manually open a segment from the list and choose "Ride". This will make the screen appear. But it doesn't appear under any other circumstances. I've read some people saying that this can happen if a route/course is loaded, but that doesn't have any effect for me; the segment screen doesn't show up regardless of whether or not a course is active.

Anyone else experiencing this? Is there any way for me to downgrade to the current stable version of the Edge 1040 OS software? This wasn't a problem with 14.50. I tried opting out of the Beta Program, but my device OS still stays at version 15.13 Beta.
