How do I remove/disable virtual partner?

I have no use for a virtual partner. Just more techno babble!

How do I remove it from my 1040? I have found a button to reduce it to 10%, whatever that means, but I can't get it to go away.

How do I stop it baing active on my rides?

You can't. Has been requested a zillion times, but Garmin won't listen to our requests.

Shucks. I thought that might be the case from trawling the interweb, but thought I may have missed something.

Garmin are damned annoying at telling us what we must have as opposed to what we want.

When making your route edit your average speed to the fastest you can.

The VP wil start as usual but will end in seconds and wil not bother you again !
