Intensity minutes not updated

Hi,

I use a Vivomove Luxe as preferred fitness tracker. But since the Edge 1040 supports intensity minutes, I often take it off and let the Edge do the work to avoid scratches on the watch when riding trails and because the Edge seems to be more precise than the Vivomove especially at indoor cycling. Unfortunately, sometimes it doesn't work:

The ride (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/9829775097 - @Garmin: you're allowed to open it and also my profile to check the prblem) contains HR data though:

There are others days, where it worked, e. g.:

I synced using both Connect on my Android phone and Express on a Windows computer.

Any help appreciated - thanks!

  • Same here. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't found a pattern, though. But after months of struggling with Garmins metrics like intensity minutes and fitness age, based on a resting heartrate that does not work either, unless you wear a Garmin watch day and night, I finally gave up on looking at the Garmin metrics, as they are totally unreliable. As I use Rouvy when I cannot ride outside the metrics are also more limited. I was actually more happy with my Garmin stuff when I still used the 830. Maybe I'm wrong but the data I got were more reliable and consistent at that time. Now with the 1040 Garmin Connect data are all over the place and do not work properly.
