Input requested for workout datafield (TarPowRange)

Hi All,

Have done some programming for a datafield and trying to include all requests from you all regarding workouts.

The top field is the new datafield (TarPowRange), the one with the gauge.

The field shows the low-limit (here: 144 watts) and the high limit (here 177). You can set in the settings if you want to see the middle (here 161).

Below the gauge you can select in the settings if you want to show 1s, 3s or 10s average (here: 3s).

The gauge will show you the position of the selected value (say 3s).

The scale of the gauge is dependent on the range of the target. To explain: the colors of the gauge are fixed, the range of green is set as the range of the target. So green can be from 200-210 watts (10 watts) or like here from 144-177 = 33 watts.

The help I need is:

1) Are the items too small? For me it is almost too small, but I am an old man ;-). I have already made the needle (pointer) a bit thicker.

2) Do you need the green part bigger? Note: this will cause the needle to fluctuate more.

3) Any other suggestions? Like: coloring the number with the current (1s, 3s or 10s) power?

  • The connectIQ app "Target Power Range" is now in the app store and supports Edge 530, 830, 1030 (series) and 1040 (series) devices.

Meant for all that use structured workouts and like a gauge with colors but want to add many fields themselves.

Especially handy in those cases that the standard workout page gives you a different target subject (1s, 3s, 10s) than you would like to see, because you can select for the app what to use.

Any suggestions and comments are still welcome!

(The app is responsible for the top field, the other 8 fields are selected by me as an example)
