Map scale changing unwanted

Using my Edge 1040 with map routing indications.

When I set a scale on the map (for example 200m), and I get a routing indication, it switches to a detailed view, with map scale 50m.

When the device then switches back to map, my initially set scale (200m) has now been reset automatically to 50m.

How can this be avoided? Thanks.

My autozoom is off, so the issue is not being fixed by that setting.

Under each profile is a control option to enable/disable automatic map zooming.

Menu -> Activity Profiles -> Name of profile you wish to change -> Navigation -> Map ->Auto Zoom

What 1040 software version are you using? I seem to recall this issue from early versions but thought it fixed in one of the 14.x updates.

I'm on V14.50. Have you got any reference to this issue being raised before please?

It was certainly addressed in one of the 14.x builds and works OK my unit.

What activity profile are you using and what map theme?

There were two separate mentions of map zooming in the 14.20 change log (odd itself but they appeared in separate beta versions?) and a number of 1040 forum topics about these problems ("zooming", "auto-zoom" etc) , all suggesting it was fixed by 14.20, at least one of the fixes related to the auto-zoom enable/disable switch always being enable regardless of the setting (similar problem with the enable / disable "Turn Guidance" switch) and the others relating to the zoom level reverting to a different previous level after the turn notification. I hope the changes did not get lost in 14.50 but this has happens before, what else might have been lost?.
