Daily Suggested Workout betwen Edge 1040 and Epix

I just moved from a Fenix 6 Pro Solar to an Epix but the Daily suggested Workout still don't match between Epix and Edge as before with the Fenix 6.

Training status/Load/Focus/V02/Recovery are the same in both devices but the Suggested Workout are different most days. Sometimes just a little discrepancy but other times (like today), the Epix says 2:15 Base while the Edge suggests Sprints.

I know it is "just" a suggestion but I found it quite useful and like this it becomes a bit confusing !!

Is it something Garmin is aware of and working on a fix or am I left in the guessing which one to choose everyday?

Thanks for your help.

  • I would propose to garmin to allow the sending of the daily training from the Fenix / Epix to the Edge 1040/1030/830/530 device so that he can do a serious workout without having to take his hand off the handlebar to read the data but, not only, for those like me who have a loss of sight, it would be more convenient to read the data directly from the large display of the Edge than from that of a watch, with all that involves doing it while you are pedaling and you have to remove your hand from the handlebar and put fire the information, read it and think about what to do ... Just think if this happens on a busy road or in the middle of a repeat uphill in Z5 or Z6 ...

  • Agreed, the extended display feature doesn't actually show the page with the workout.

I still would love to know why the workouts are different even with same metrics.
