1040 How to load a route without navigation

I really hate this numb routing on the edge 1040. always beep here and there…. I just want to load a ?route?track to be displayed on the map and that‘s it. No navigation crap. The best way to enjoy cycling is to set the scale on screen (zoom in or out) on about the distance that you can overlook. Where is the switch to turn this autonavigation off?

    Turn Guidance

    Enables or disables turn prompts.

    My favourite way is like this :

    from Courses select the course in question, and from the upper right corner tap the 3 dots , and you will be able to select "Always Display" and the desired color of the track.

    Yep.  I do that as well for some courses, but then they're always on the map and if you have a number of them overlapping  or conflicting you need to go identify and find the problematic ones and turn them off.

    Hi  try the following way:
    Main Menu: Activity Profiles - Choose your profile - Navigation - Routing - Reroute - Auto Pause
    If you don't have the focus on the map page while driving, the turn-by-turn directions will be shown to you, if that bothers you too, set navigation messages to "Text only".
    If that's too much for you, set the navigation text to "Never show".
