Just dropped my 1040 onto the garage floor. It’s in warranty but it’s my fault entirely.
Do Garmin run a replacement screen service (appreciate I will have to pay) or am I going to have to swallow this very expensive mistake!

Thanks everyone for the kind advice. They don't repair but as noted they do replace for a fee. Spoke to Garmin who shipped me a brand new one in return for a payment. First class service.
Garmin will provide a refurbished unit (the 1040 is new, so availability might be an issue) at a reduced price.
Call Garmin.
If you paid by credit card see if there is a warranty through the card. Some cards cover damage for the first 60 days.
