ClimbPro Screen Disappears During Climb

It all starts nicely. The ClimbPro screen pops up as you approach a climb but then it just vanishes before reaching the top. Is this how the feature supposed to work? Any way to bring the screen back on during the climb?

I don't recall seeing any warning. The hill has no other roads to go off course. Lost the data screen about halfway through the climb.
