Segment Explore widget keep asking to sign in to Strava using Connect

On my Edge 1040 Solar, the widget "Segment Explore" just has an instruction stating

"Sign in to your Strava account using your Garmin Connect account."

But I am already signed in and connected to my Strava account in my smartphone Garmin Connect account.

So why it keep asking for the same action over and over again?

  • pareil j'ai réinitialisé 3 fois cela  marche un  moment puis  plus rien , on est contraint d attendre une  lise à jour Garmin  

  • not even sure about that. I fear that this is not even on Garmin's radar and it will take some development sprints to have it fixed. 
    What phone do you have? I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, maybe something related to the device you connect to the Garmin?

  • j ai un Samsung Android  cela fonctionne avec  mon  edge 1030 mais pas avec  le  1040 

  • I am using a Huawei P20 Pro. 
    I never tried with other Android or Iphone myself before so I am unable to comment on whether this is device dependent.

  • Not quite the same, but similar problem (Edge 1040), maybe some hint for developers: my strava widget ALWAYS works while NOT recording activity. As soon as I start activity, the widget stops working (endlesly looking for segments). 

    It must be something "locking" after starting activity, similar behavior with an CIQ app wather radar; if not in activity, the app pulls images within seconds, after starting an activity, the app is endlessly "downloading image"....(same behaviour on Epix Gen2)

    (on the older x30 models, supposedly older CIQ API, the widget is working flawlessy)

    Garmin?

  • Just Bought the 1040 for my partner as a gift cannot get this to show the segments she's that disappointed she will not use it.

    Feels like waste of money.
