Segment Explore widget keep asking to sign in to Strava using Connect

On my Edge 1040 Solar, the widget "Segment Explore" just has an instruction stating

"Sign in to your Strava account using your Garmin Connect account."

But I am already signed in and connected to my Strava account in my smartphone Garmin Connect account.

So why it keep asking for the same action over and over again?

I solved it myself by unpair my Edge unit from my phone Garmin Connect. Delete the bluetooth data in my phone and also delete the phone data in my Edge unit.
Then I re-pair my Edge unit to my phone Garmin Connect.
Now the Strava Explore widget works.

Hope this helps other who faces the same issue.

I did this 2 times now, worked for some time, then stoped working again...

That's unexpected for me. I haven encounter an issue since.
This is definitely a software glitch from the Garmin side. Until Garmin willing to debug it with a new software update either the phone app Garmin Connect or the Edge firmware, I do not foresee this issue will go away permanently.

As of now my best advise to you is still to keep repeating the "unpairing->wipe clean on both devices -> repair again" procedure. It is annoying, I know.

On iPhone is intermittent, it works at the beginning fo the ride an it disappears with time.

It always disappears after 30min of riding. I tried every solution. But nothing helps!
