Edge 1040 GPS off track (Road cycling)

Hi,

I am pretty dissapointed in the Garmin 1040 GPS accuracy so far.

On all my 15 rides so far there are parts with straight lines (see screenshots) or completely missed roads (on open descents without trees even).

Is this a defect unit or can I change somethingin the settings to avoid this?

I am running the latest version.

Yep. A bug in Garmin Connect when overlaying power/speed/HR/Elevation on the track. In GC, on the top left of the map next to the +/- zoom buttons, click on the menu and then select None. The straight line segments will go away.

And make sure your data recording is one second. Looks like default is “smart”
