1040 Screen has fuzzy streak across the middle when turning on/off

Does anyone else sometimes have a fuzzy streak across the middle on the 1040 screen when powering on/off? (Like a TV screen fuzz with no reception.)

I have now had this several times and thought the screen was gone, so far it does disappear and the screen comes on correctly. I am however worried that this is eventually going to lead to a screen malfunction.

I've had this issue as well. It typically happens to me after the unit doesn't power down correctly (i.e. the power icon stays on the screen). After I hold the power button down to fully power down I see a group of dark horizontal lines across the screen that eventually go away.
