Edge 1040 route recalculation

Hi

After last update to version 14.20, the function route recalculation doesn't work. When I get of from navigated route, the garmin doesn't recalculate at all. The automatic recalculation is activated but not working.

Anybody having this issue?

    Have you turned on the off-course warning?

    Yes, off course warning is on.

    Just did a 85km ride where I needed to deviate from the route. The route was recalculated and I was suggested another way to get back on the route. No issues here.

    I was testing after restart my 1040 now and I found, it takes about 5 min to do recalculation, when I'm out of course. So it works now, but is that normal to wait so long for recalculation?

    My old 1030 was reacting sooner.

    I had the same problem in my last ride when I used the back to start function. It performed a route to the initial point but when I deviated at some point it didnt recalculate anything. Same  software version.

    Mine will ask to re-calculate, but never gives me options, just advises u-turn...

    After update to 14.20 the navigation is awful.

    I uploaded a course and now is like my old edge830: it appears on the top the calculating bar with increasing % that took 1minute to reach 87% then disappeared reappeared with a smaller digits and recalculate from 0% again.

    Then I started to ride and as soon as you, for any reason, change the planned path the map seems to be cashed just around the course so you see like a square around the path and nothing else outside it till the 1040 (after more than 20sec) recharge the map. In other cases the map totally disappears and you see an empty screen with only the icon of your position.

    During the ride the 1040 turned off and on. After that the course was still running but the odometer stopped and a red frame with a flag appeared. Touching the flag I was requested to save the ride. Then I had to reload the course to complete the remaining road.

    Any time you are asked to RE-Route or RECALCULATE it takes ages to do it.

    This update is a disaster. I hope I can downgrade to the 12....
