What's the "segment time" data field introduced with latest update?

It is a running clock of your time since the start of the segment.

Great!!! Is it possible to have the segment average power too?

Not currently. You would need to use lap power and take a lap split at the start of the segment.

Interestingly, when I select "Segment Time" as one of the two data fields on the Live Segment screen on the Garmin Connect iOS app, it saves as "Distance" instead of "Segment Time".

Steps to reproduce:

Open the iOS app and go to an activity profile.
Go to Data Screens.
Go to the Segment screen.
Open Layout and Data Fields (mine is set to 2 Fields).
Select one of the fields, and choose Timer > Segment Time.
When it gets back to the previous screen, it will say "Distance" where you just tried to assign it to "Segment Time".

I'm running the latest version of the iOS app and the latest beta software for the Garmin Edge 1040 v14.20.
