Temperature reading on the 1040, regarding Smart nutrition, hydration, training effect, Recommended Training

Hello

  1. I wonder if the tremendously imprecise  temperature values of the 1040 affect parameters such as SMART HYDRATION,  SMART NUTRITION,  TRAINING EFFECT, RECOMMENDED WORKOUT, and other related. I believe the temperature has a lot to do with these type of parameters.

Older Edge units (before 1030+) use to report the temperature within reason.  Since the 1030+, it has been way off.

Should I just ignore all this parameters from now on?

Thanks

  • I believe that most of the temperature based items use the FORECAST temperature, not the head unit temperature.

Incidentally, of all the parameters you list, only 1 is temperature dependent - smart hydration. Other temperature dependent parameters are VO2Max and Heat Acclimation/
