Glances the only way?

I initially thought Glances where simply a visual add-on that gave you another way to see and access various information and functions (visual shortcuts if you like).

But I'm now realising they seem to be the ONLY way to access certain functionality. For example: without the Navigation glance, how do you get to all the navigation options? Similarly without the History glance how do you access you ride/activity history?

So it seems to me as though at least some of the Glances are essential for normal operation. Unless I'm missing something?

You can + my request to have navigation accesible from map screen, idem with other glances, but we need to ask….

You can go “home” “navigation” but yes, swipe down on the map page would be good !

Swiping down any page will give access to the widget loop that has some navigation options.

Said differently, it’s as though “glances” are in some ways competing with “widgets”..

We’ve got data pages, containing all our data mid-ride. Then we can swipe down to get to the “widget” loop, generally containing ‘action’ buttons. But then we’ve also got “glances” containing a mixture of information and actions (I’m regularly reaching for the navigation and sunset/sunrise for example), yet these seem to be just slightly further out of reach in terms of accessing them.

On the grand scheme of things however a very minor point:)

Yes, I know ,"some" is the correct word, why garmin did not add also saved locations or recent search, I don't know

then again , instead of implementing simple things , like tap on the upper part of the screen, we need to perform 10 taps

Even swipe down is not convenient as you may swipe and not getting in the navigation screen, but in lights or something else, then you have to tap left or right 2,3 times
