Consistency of First beat info between watch and 1040?

Now I have Epix 2 and 530 - I stopped using 530 to get all the staff from Epix2 like Training readiness and status correctly. Now I'm getting 1040. Should i give it a try to use 1040 for biking not using epix2 at the same time for stress/battery counting? Or again - I will not get consistent information on Body Battery/Training readiness/Stress on my Epix after the ride?

  • on the regular release version (12.x), you would have mixed feeling, due to the fact that physio true up was in version 1.0 on the 1040 (the technology that keep all those status features in sync), while it is on version 2.0 on the fenix, with far more details.

If you register and the likely soon to be released 14.19, then you'll mostly everything in sync :

    - training status

    - aerobic/anaerobic/endurance level

    - same thing for the target, except that the number are very close but not exactly the same, likely to be fixed soon

    - vo2max, and your ftp if you have power devices will be pushed to the epix.

So you can ride with your 1040 and your hr monitor, and when back at all, everything is pushed to your epix 2, that is the central brain of all features Slight smile

it's really neatly functionning ! you'll have all your rides and stats in the watch itself, all health features, etc.

hope that cover all your questions ;)

  • Thanks, but I fond of Body battery and training readiness - seems they are still not on the way to 1040 and Psysio true ip os still not syncing them?

With my 530 and Epix 2 Training Load seems working not totally exactly with numbers, but Body battery on Epix is just extrapolated without connection to the effort of the activity I made on the bike and wrote with 530...

  • while body battery is not visible on the edge, I believe it is taking rides from the 1040 into account, I'll check it.

  • Seems working consistently - after the ride with 1040 all the data is in Epix with the same exact numbers. Including Actual load and Recovery - so Training Readiness should be ok. The only question is Body battery, but today i weared Epix with me, so, if it counts based on Stress - should be ok, but stress during Activity is missing on Epix (should look before uploading the Activity from 1040, maybe epix wiped it out just after) - so the Battery is the only question. but the shape (angel of the curve) during exercise seems quite good - I have a break in the middle and the it's not so steep.

So, I'm quite happy for the moment!
