refresh screen during naviation

During navigation, the screen always refreshes near a bend.  Then the entire route is first visible. 

Then the screen zooms in again and the detail screen becomes visible again. This takes about 6 seconds. Enough to keep driving wrong.

beaus the indication on the screen is not visible. I also see that the route is then recalculated. Never had this with a Edge 830.  

Still disappointment with this purchase so far.

Are here people with the same problem?

    There is a huge list of "fixes" in the "current" beta that has been going on for a long long time through versions 14.12, 14.13, 14.14, 14.15 and now 14.19! There are some relating to the map and many that might relate to your problem. You could just wait for the betas to become official releases (no estimates as to when this might happen) or you might join the beta program (see announcement at top of 1040 forum) and try the latest beta to see if your problem is fixed. If it is not fixed you can post a description in the beta program section which is supposed to be monitored by Garmin developers, they don't read these general forum sections , good riding.

    ps, my general opinion is that the latest betas are much better than the 12.16 release and I have not seen any problem with using them

    I have install the latest beta version update.   Today did a ride and it was working perfect.
