Hi all,
Yesterday I planned a route on Strava and noted no synching with Garmin Connect despite all settings are in order.
Do you have same sometimes?
Any idea how to solve this?
Alternatively I downloaded the route as GPX and imported it in the 'New Files' folder.
When starting the route no chevrons were displayed on the Edge 1040 SOLAR and no instructions were correct.
Displayed only 'next street ahead'.
Rebooting the device solved it halfly: chevrons were there, but no instructions.
Showing 'distance to next 'said 94,21 km???
(would like to post pictures, from desktop, but no idea how to do that unfortunately)
loading second track: copy paste the above, however when rebooting no chevrons at all this time.....
Am facing now so many issues:
Solar not working
Zooming flips back
Navigation not working
Synching not working.
And I am not even using the fitness features, expecting not to work as well as basic features don't work so far)
For a € 750 device in my opinion Garmin must shame themselves as it's a disaster.
If it was a cheapy device from any discounter I could understand this to expect, but from Garmin?
Thing is that one cannot rely on this device to work properly making any activity no fun at all.
Instead of using this device as it should, I need to set up workarounds each and everytime to at least track activities.
So for me, and until now, the Garmin Edge 1040 Solar is nothing more than a very expensive activity tracker.
Question is, what can I do?
Any ideas?
