Edge 1040 accuracy total crap since I got it

Is anyone else have the same problem, with accuracy as me?

Since I got it I installed every software and tried using best accuracy and balanced GPS.

Recording is on 1s but it would be in any case since I'm using power meter.

Here are some tracks.

Seems to be a hardware issue. Send in for replacement.

That is not right. The 1040 gets GPS very quickly and then is very accurate. This is even on the most basic GPS setting. Something isn’t right with yours.

This is not a GPS problem of the Edge. Its a newly introduced bug in Web Garmin Connect.

Change overlay to speed or heratrate and you will see - the GPS recording was ok!

If overlay is set to power, all sections with power=0 (downhill) are only lines!

(the same on my PC with Edge 1030+)

Thanks for the answer.

It looks like the only way the track looks ok is with no overlay. GC should have no overlay as default and then people would not upset about poor performance of their devices when Garmin have useless software.

Seems to be fixed now. My last ride and all historic ones are rendering ok.

Agreed the Garmin Edge 1040 is a total piece of crap. I wish I'd never set eyes on it. The navigation fox up every five minutes. When my ride gets uploaded to komoot it's in Versus pieces not one whole ride. It is absolutely useless at navigation. My heart and money was truly wasted with this rubbish from Garmin

How can you set the recording to 1s? I don't have that setting in Edge 1040 menu and there is no such setting mentioned in the manual either.
