Hi all,

Does anyone know how to get the DEFAULT LEADER Priority to work?

This is under

Training

Strava Live Segements

you pick your order and I have GOAL first, but always get PR showing first at the top when a Strava live segment appears.

I know the segments have goals set because it actually shows it when I flip the arrow to it but isn't there a way to get it to ALWAYS SHOW GOAL first?

I have tried everything. bug?

    ok may be getting somewhere.

    I clicked on another segment on 1040. One that I also set a goal on strava website for BUT

    when I went to 1040,

    training

    SLS

    clicked the actual segment

    leaderboard, I get this

    Paul S

    Goal

    PR

    KOM

    why woudl Paul's name be first if I set the goal AND the priority says GOAL first?

    The default selection is not working. Let me raise a ticket with Garmin

    Just tested that segment (actually 3 segments) and they all show PR first.

    I was especially looking at the one that had PAUL listed first on the garmin and it showed PR first when got to the segment.

    I am curious why you think of that one it listed Paul first on the garmin when I went into the segment and hit leaderboard.

    The others lists my GOAL first when I dive in deeper.

    I feel like it has something to do with when I changed the priority but then synched over the last week?

    maybe just a bug as you said.

    Please let me know if I can test or can help on this.

    it has nothing to do with when you long press on one of the leaderboard options how it sets it?

    I found another segment that lists

    wondering why some have a club person listed first then my goal second (even though PR sell shows first when riding).

    I think the default may only get applied when the segment is first loaded and that changing the defaults after it has loaded does not make a change.

    The next time a segment gets updated it would apply the current default, but changing the default would not go back through the existing segments and change them.

    Try the following.

    Set the default leaderboard to what you want.

    Connect the Edge to a PC

    Go to the Garmin\Segment_List folder and delete the segment_list.fit file 

    Next go to the Garmin\Segment folder select all the segments cut them out of this folder and paste them into the Garmin\NewFiles folder

    Now disconnect the Edge from the PC.

    Now check the entry on given segment and see if the Goal is the entry that is selected.

    Ok just tested.

    All 3 segments still show PR up top first.  I feel like I once picked PR to be first when I first got the 1040 and now it is locked on that.

    Have to figure out what I did.

    In short, all those steps with files and plugging in to computer did not change anything. I even disabled and then enabled the segments, synched etc.

    Think anything on the GC app?

    maybe I have to "reload the segments" not sure if I just did that or not. Unstar and restar do anything?

    Maybe we should give up on this and just change it to GOAL each time on the screen.

    Rode yesterday with a new starred element and it looked like the GOAL was the first one displayed.

    Not sure if all fixed or something like what you said about when a segment was added.
