Suggested workout and execution score?

Does Garmin take your execution score and input it into their algorithms to determine if you can handle a suggested workout?  IE - lower execution score would mean a lower level of power on the next suggest workout?  Or is execution score solely used for self evaluation of how well you performed the workout?

If Garmin takes the execution score into consideration should I be pausing my workout when coming to an over pass, stop signs, and/or places with excessive users?  Or don't stress over the execution number being it's just for self gratitude on how well you did?

  • strange there is nothing in the edge 1040 manual on this, there is a little bit of info in the forerunner 955 manual
    www8.garmin.com/.../GUID-FD71D73A-C744-4779-A6C3-2FA9AB89B228.html

The only info is in garmin connect web/mobile when you hit the question mark beside the score, and it mentions it compared the % of time that you spent in the target zone....if you go over or under this target you execution score will be less.

auto pause doesn't seem to kick in workouts when you stop, you can pause the workout manually

over 67% is good according to garmin, but I don't think garmin does anything with this score, so i wouldnt be bothered with it.
