Default Leadership Priorities (1040)

Garmin 1040 Solar

When the strava live segment Pops up, at the very top it shows you PR or KOM or Club leader time etc and a right and left arrow to pick what you want to show up top.

In the Garmin settings under

Training

Strava Live Segments

3 dots

Default Leader Priority

 

you can move the items in order.

My list is:

PR

Club Leader

KOM

Goal

 

Every time a Strava Live segment pops up on screen (not running a course-just free riding), it shows me the KOM at first.

It does not seem to want to follow my list and show PR as the first thing showing.

I hope I understand what this list should do.

I changed from a 1030 to this 1040 solar if this helps.

 

Any suggestions to try?

    For the default leader order to be used I think you need to switch auto-select off. Auto-select dynamically switches to use whatever entry is next in front of you. At the start of a segment that will be the KoM until you have fallen further behind some other entry.

    I did go in and check the slider next to auto-select effort. It was off as expected. But I wonder if this matters. when you see the list of your segments on your Garmin 1040, you can click the segment, then there is the word Leaderboard, when you click this, I see the PR, KOM and club leader but the order is Club Leader, PR, KOM. I wonder why it lists it this way and if this impacting what is showing first.
