Solar Ride Time Gained flat curve in Connect app

Hi Folks,

Do you have an idea why I see always a flat curve in my Connect app as solar ride time gained? However definitely there are a few minutes I gained, but the graph shows always flat…

Everything (Edge/Connect app) is on the latest version…, but the phenomena exists since day 0 with the 1040.

  • I have a similar issue after my ride today. The x axis of the graph just shows all zeroes.  It's not a deal breaker as the device seemed to work really well, but I'd like to see the solar charge data

  • Edit:  I came back to GC after a few hours and the data showed up -weird, but I'm happy I can see it now

  • I also find it quite useful to see the solar data by selecting the device rather than an activity.  Click on Devices, click on the Edge, then click solar (app) or solar charge (web) to see the solar charge over time.  4w view shows clear trends.  I noticed I had minutes gained even on days that I did not ride.  When I clicked on such a day I’m told “Non-activity charging occurs when the device is on and being used outside of an activity or in sleep mode”

  • I found that if turn the device back on when I get back from the ride and let the device sync over the home wifi I get the solar data in garmin connect
