How to calibrate the compass?

The title says it all.

On my EDGE 1030+ there is an option to calibrate the compass.

The EDGE 1400 doesn't have such an option and the compass is off by 180 deg. on my unit

180 off when you are stopped or moving? The discussion below says there is a "problem" with the compass when stopped which Garmin is working on? It also says the compass is factory calibrated and does not need further calibration.
