User Profile - syncing weight between devices

Has anyone found a way to sync their user profiles between devices?  If I update my weight on a watch, it doesn't carry over to the edge (or the other way around).  I was just wondering if this is something that "should" sync, or if some other method (garmin scale) would send the weight to all devices?

  • Former Member If you would like to make changes to your User Profile and have it sent to all devices, please follow the instructions in our FAQ here. If you make the changes on the device, or within the settings of a specific device in Garmin Connect, this will not be sent to other devices.

Using an Index scale would make changes to all devices.

    Thanks!

  • Ah, you bought it after they fixed the NTP bug wich disabled sync for over 1.5 years. :-D

I now have a healthy relationship to my Index Gen 1, but there was a lot of dissapointment 1.5 years long...
Its nice to just step on it in the morning and now that the weight in all my devices is changed. But to be honest: I would prefer Garmin to release a Index light, wich only gives us our weight as a reading and only costs a quart of the normal ones.

If you only want to track weight, enter it in the app after you used your existing scale. All the offer data is nice to have but you pay a premium for it.

  • Did that really resolve your issue? I have the same with my Edge 1040. Connect syncs user profile (incl. weight) with my Forerunner 745 but not with my Edge. Did not find a solution in the FAQ that works for me.

Which FAQ setting resolved your issue..?

I also have the Garmin index scale checking my weight daily ...thats why its so important to me that it get synced to my Edge as well.
