Access Edge storage with mobile phone.

Hi,
is it possible somehow to access sreenshots folder on edge 1040 from any smartphone
(most preferably wirelessly, less with USB OTG).

  • Just tried to connect my 2017 iPad Pro with my 1030+ (what I had to hand) using USB and Apple's USB to Lightening adapter. It does connect but not enough power to maintain the connection. Maybe a newer iPad with USB-C might work? No idea how you would connect wirelessly without some software to support it though.

  • You need a USB OTG cable if your smartphone port does not already have it built in (rare).
It's a feature of the usb port not an Edge fault.

  • I tested again my Garmin Edge 1040 with an USB OTG cable with Android, the GPS is charging, but it is not recognized.

When I connect it to my computer (Linux, yes Linux, not Windows or Mac), an icon is flashing, I think it negotiate something, and this works.

When I connect it to my smartphone, no icon is flashing, and it does not work.

My GoPro video camera is working, my photo camera (bort in 2016) is working.

I think it's the incompetence of Garmin team.
